Welcome to The Shack at The Gog, a delightful café nestled within Heath Farm, Stapleford, Cambridge. This charming spot blends rustic appeal with a vibrant atmosphere, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking quality food and a relaxed dining experience.

The café offers a thoughtfully curated menu that showcases a mixture of classic breakfast options and healthy choices, perfect for any time of the day. Start your morning with their heavenly Poached Eggs served atop creamy avocado, or treat yourself to the luxurious Eggs Benedict—a true classic that feels like a warm hug on a plate. If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, the Granola Bowl provides a refreshing, crunchy contrast that pairs wonderfully with their freshly brewed coffee.

What makes The Shack particularly special is the inviting atmosphere. Customers have described it as a “nice, rustic, enclosed space”, where you can truly unwind. With blankets available for those chillier days and the aroma of freshly baked goods wafting through the air, it’s the perfect spot for a catch-up with friends or a quiet moment of reflection. Andrew Bentham, a satisfied customer, raved about their “great coffee” and scrumptious baked goods, setting the perfect backdrop for an ideal morning.

However, it’s noteworthy that some visitors have expressed a desire for an expanded breakfast menu. While the selection is limited, the standout items, such as the sausage and bacon roll, have received glowing reviews for their taste and quality. It’s the small details, coupled with the high standard of service, that keep guests returning for more. Alistair McDowall noted that it’s a fantastic venue for after-work gatherings, particularly when the weather allows for alfresco dining.

The Shack at The Gog also embraces a community vibe with a rotation of food vans, which adds variety and keeps your culinary experience fresh. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or a quick coffee break, you’ll find that this café wonderfully embodies the spirit of local dining.

In summary, The Shack at The Gog is not just a café; it’s an experience waiting to be had. With a menu that caters to both healthy eaters and those looking for comfort food, all served in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone dining in the Cambridge area. You may find yourself returning not just for the food, but for the warmth and ambiance that makes every visit special.

Nice, rustic, enclosed space alongside well-known farm shop - coffee, baked goods, blankets of you need them, and even draft beer! I did not have any of the latter at 10AM (this is my story and I am sticking to it) but enjoyed my coffee

A great setting with a very well laid out cafe and plenty of parking. However, it was disappointing that there was a very limited breakfast menu. This is a real shame as we were expecting to get a full English breakfast and you would usually expect to be able to get this at a cafe with a farm shop attached. The sausage and bacon roll was really tasty and the service was very good. I would love to see more options on the menu in the future.

Great for an after work gathering in all but the most horrendous weather. The food van rotation keeps things feeling fresh and the main BBQ is of high quality. Well worth a visit if in the area.
